Israel Teen Travel Scholarship Information

We're making it more affordable than ever for local Jewish teens to experience meaningful trips to Israel, thanks to CJP's scholarships and need-based financial aid. Find out how you can take the trip of a lifetime.

Scholarship Application

To apply, complete the Scholarship Application and follow the submission instructions. We will notify you of your status as soon as possible. Applications are evaluated on an individual and rolling basis.

If you need to know whether you will qualify to receive scholarship money before applying for a program, please contact Will C. willc@cjp.orgat 617-457-8556.

Please note:

  • Funds may not be used for CJP missions, synagogue trips, or family trips.
  • Funds are mailed directly to the program provider, not to the program participant.
  • Participants must be a resident of the Greater Boston area and either enrolled in high school or intending on participating in a pre-college gap year program..
  • Scholarship recipients who change programs, withdraw their application, or cancel their trip must notify their program provider and ensure that the funds are returned to CJP.

Scholarship Awards

In general, approved applicants can expect scholarships in the following amounts:

  • For programs that run 10-12 months, we generally award $850
  • For five-month programs, we award $600
  • For summer programs (four weeks or longer), we award $400

Additional Financial Assistance

In lieu of scholarship funds, we offer financial aid to students who demonstrate increased need. To apply, download and complete the Financial Assistance Application and return it to CJP. Remember to include a letter from your Israel program provider stating that you are in need of additional funds. Also, please include a copy of your most recent tax return. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Will C. at 617-456-8556 or willc@cjp.org.

Please note that applicants are eligible for either a scholarship award (amounts listed above) or financial aid, but an individual applicant cannot apply for both levels of assistance. Contact Will C. at 617-457-8556 or willc@cjp.org with any questions.
