The Executive Director is the chief professional officer of the Tampa JCC/Federation and is accountable to the President and Board of Directors for providing leadership, management and strategic direction toward the fulfillment of the JCC/Federation's mission, vision and goals. The Executive Director will be the CEO of the Tampa JCC/Federation. This person will have ultimate responsibility for financial management, financial resource development (fundraising), effective operation of the JCC/Federation, and federation's relationships with constituents, constituent agencies, and the community at large.
Development and fundraising will be the priority of the Executive Director. This person will be actively involved in developing the strategies for the Federation's financial resource development efforts. This will include planning for the Federation's annual campaign, its messages and programs, as well as capital campaigns and special funds. The Executive Director will spend a major amount of time in the community, building relationships with current and prospective major donors.
This person must be an effective communicator with groups and individuals, with the goals of building consensus and promoting action.
The Executive Director's role is to promote cooperation and coordination among all Jewish institutions and organizations in the community.
This person will act as the liaison with local, state and national Jewish organizations. The Executive Director will serve as one of the primary representatives and spokespersons for the Federation throughout the community, with the responsibility of ensuring that the JCC/Federation's story, message and positions are effectively developed and disseminated to the Jewish and general community.
