Bringing Jewish identity and learning together in a meaningful way

On Sunday, December 8, LimmudBoston will hold its 2013 Conference from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., featuring over 100 educational and interactive sessions for participants of all ages. CJP is a proud sponsor of LimmudBoston and invites teachers and educators from across the Greater Boston area to participate in all the conference has to offer.

LimmudBoston is self-styled as “a communiversity, a happening, a Jewish learningfest of culture and identity.” The volunteer-driven organization celebrates lifelong learning for the entire Jewish community. The conference is open to beginners and scholars and includes singing and dancing, baking and tasting, inspiration and education. LimmudBoston embraces the idea of communal knowledge, allowing anyone to be a presenter during the conference, sharing their unique knowledge with other attendees.

For those with children, the Camp Limmud program offers childcare during the hours of the conference, with staff experienced in implementing children’s educational and leadership programs. Creative, exciting, and educational activities mirroring the adult sessions are presented by top Jewish educators, musicians and artists.

The conference also features two concerts, sessions for young adults only and the Chavruta (partnership) Project where pairs work together to explore texts that range from Biblical sources to song lyrics.
