Taglit-Birthright Israel and CJP's Campus Initiative

What is CJP’s campus model about?

Seeking to build on unprecedented participation and energy surrounding Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, CJP’s Campus Initiative has placed full-time, professional coordinators at local campuses. Coordinators build a new culture of campus-based trips and work to engage alumni in Jewish life on campus.

Through CJP’s “I-ACT” campus action plan, Boston-based Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni have been inspired by their first Israel experience to become more active on campus. When a critical mass of students commits to post-trip engagement, Jewish life on partner campuses will be transformed.

CJP works closely with campuses throughout the year to maximize recruitment and outreach efforts, as well as provide the schools with new programmatic resources and strategies. Hundreds of trip alumni are working to change the face of Jewish learning, community service, Jewish cultural arts and Israel engagement on campus.
