The Israel Campus Roundtable

Welcome to the Israel Campus Roundtable (ICR), your source for Boston-area Israel engagement on campus.

To view a full calendar of campus Israel programs and learn about other opportunities, visit www.bostonicr.org, our new student-run website.

The ICR Mission:

To support the primacy of Israel in Jewish student life through a communal vision and strategy. The ICR works closely with campus Hillels – the central umbrella organization for Jewish student life.

ICR members include: American Jewish Committee; American Israel Public Affairs Committee; Anti-Defamation League; Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting; Consulate General of Israel to New England; The David Project; Hasbara Fellowships; Hillel Council of New England; Jewish Community Relations Council; New Israel Fund; StandWithUs and the Zionist Organization of America.

Our Strategy:

In order to effectively engage students, ICR members will make every effort to coordinate Israel outreach and programming efforts on campus. Members are responsible for communicating relevant information about each organization’s activities and sharing knowledge of relevant Israel activities on campus. The ICR’s Monthly Calendar provides a listing of upcoming campus events and resources.

ICR Content:

The Roundtable’s agenda focuses on the following areas:

  • Promoting Israeli culture through events and campaigns
  • Increasing participation in Israel experience programs (i.e., study abroad)
  • Crafting and promoting Israel education programs (i.e., on history, human rights, socio-economic topics, etc.)
  • Facilitating student-led Israel advocacy on campus
