We all benefit from a community that cares—a community where we can get help when
we need it, and give help when we can. Our Economic Response initiative supports
our partner agencies so they can continue to provide counseling, employment services
and cash assistance to people in crisis.
Lives changed by emergency education grant
For Jewish families facing dark economic times last year, CJP’s
distribution of a $1 million grant from the Jim Joseph Foundation was a
ray of hope. This funding was earmarked for needs-based Jewish
education grants, and allowed hundreds of children to attend summer
camp, stay enrolled in Jewish day schools and grow by leaps and bounds
in pre-school.
