CJP/JFNS Proposed Merger

We are very pleased to announce that the boards of Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) and Jewish Federation of the North Shore (JFNS) have approved a letter of intent outlining the terms of a proposed merger to take place in 2013.

We already share a strong commitment to serving the Jewish community and we are excited to take the next step toward combining our unique strengths into one organization.

Over the next several months, we will collaborate to create a framework for the merger which will be voted on by both boards.  During that time, JFNS will continue to operate under the leadership of Interim Executive Director Kimberlee Schumacher and the JFNS Board.  We believe that together, we will better serve our combined communities.
