Join YLD’s Chai Society for an exclusive event featuring Doug Ellin, creator and executive producer of HBO’s Entourage. In an intimate, interview-style presentation hosted by Jonathan Soroff, columnist for The Improper Bostonian Magazine and the creator of, Doug will discuss his Jewish roots, and the unlikely career path that took him from a film studio mailroom, to walking the red carpet as the creator of one of television’s hottest shows.

This special event is open to CJP’s Chai Society members. You can become a member of the Chai Society by making your gift intention now or at the event, and you’ll have until December 2013 to pay your pledge. The Chai Society recognizes young adults, ages 22-45, in Greater Boston, who make a contribution of $118 or more to the Annual Campaign of Combined Jewish Philanthropies.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served, with dessert following the program. Cocktail attire for this event please!

Dietary laws will be observed.

Creator/Executive Producer of “Entourage” 

Doug Elin

Doug Ellin, Creator/Executive Producer of “Entourage” moved to Hollywood from his native New York in 1990 to become a stand-up comedian. While working the circuit at comedy club mainstays including The Improv and The Comedy Store, Ellin took a position in the mailroom of New Line Cinema. It was through this connection to New Line Production Head, Michael DeLuca, that Ellin's career was able to take off, albeit in a different direction.
