Three years ago, columnist Lenore Skenazy left her 9 year-old son alone in Bloomingdale’s in New York City. She gave him a map, a MetroCard, a $20 bill, and some quarters—and then let him make his own way home. Her column about this experience led the media to dub her “America’s Worst Mom,” and unleashed a firestorm of controversy.
Join CJP’s Jaffa Society for an engaging conversation over lunch with Lenore Skenazy, syndicated columnist, comedian and founder of the Free-Range Kids blog. This event is for anyone who remembers what it’s like to be a kid…and wonders how parents got so crazy.
