Responding to Crisis

Financial Crisis

If you’re in financial distress, we’re here to help. Call the CJP Warmline today at 1-800-CJP-9500.

CJP is proud to partner with six local Jewish organizations to offer short and long-term assistance to members of our community who are facing financial hardship. If you've ever wondered how you'll pay your rent or had to make the difficult decision of choosing between daycare and medical care, you are not alone. Through CJP's Anti-Poverty Initiative, CJP and our partner organizations are working together to collectively support families and individuals who are struggling financially.  In the past four years, our partner organizations helped more than 5,000 members of our Jewish community navigate their options to get support, find jobs and gain access to food, cash and utilities.

When you call the CJP Warmline, you’ll be connected with a caring, knowledgeable professional who can help you:

  • Access emergency financial assistance and long-term support
  • Find career counseling and job search support
  • Access food, utilities and fuel
  • Connect a child with a mentor
  • Navigate public benefits
  • Receive guidance and information
