Preschool Associate Director

Jewish Creative Preschool, is a progressive, Reggio inspired & intimate community preschool located in Newton, MA. Founded in 2015, our school has grown to a student body of 25 children and is seeking to hire an Associate Director to work along side and support the Head of School. We are seeking a Director who will support the Head of School in the day to day operation of the school. Responsibilities will include, communicating with parents, to create a warm, positive and upbeat environment and to create and lead a team of educators. The Director will work together with the Head of School in reflective supervision of the staff and their growth. Working with the Head of School to organize and lead professional development, including monthly staff meetings. Modelling best educational practices and supervising and supporting staff with documentation and progress reports.

Candidates should love working with children, and passionate about Early Childhood education. We are looking for someone who is interested in continuous learning and professional development. Candidates should be familiar with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and have experience with an emergent curriculum. Candidates should have the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner, have excellent communication skills with children and adults, flexibility and ability to adjust to changing circumstances. Candidates should possess leadership skills, organizational skills, time management and multitasking skills, ability to pay attention to detail, and proficient with computer software, apps and modern technology. Candidates should have previous experience as an Early Childhood Educator in the classroom, willing to spend time in the classroom and also some experience in an administrative role. Experience in Jewish education is a plus. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Masters degree preferred, and hold an EEC DI certification.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree + Advanced Degree Preferred and 3-5 years of experience.
