CJP Communal Security Initiative


CJP’s Communal Security Initiative (CSI) provides professional security advice and support to meet the needs of the Jewish community as it is forced to contend with increased antisemitic threats and attacks. CJP offers training, assessments, and consultations free of charge to Jewish institutions in the cities and towns that CJP serves. Grants for physical security improvements may be available to qualifying organizations.

    The Jewish Emergency Management System is a partnership of CJP, the ADL, JCRC, and the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts offering alerts and updates for professionals and lay leaders.

    Your organization may qualify for state and federal grants to improve security, and CJP can help you understand the application process.

    We work with our communal partners to help them better understand and improve their cybersecurity posture through training, funding, and access to services.

Jeremy Yamin is CJP’s Associate Vice President, Director of Security and Operations.

He manages CJP’s Communal Security Initiative (CSI), which provides security support to more than 200 institutions including 14 Jewish Day Schools, 36 preschools, 120 synagogues, two Jewish Community Centers, and dozens of other Jewish agencies and organizations. Dan Levenson
Daniel Levenson is CJP’s Deputy Director for Communal Security.

He plays a key role in the daily and long-term activities of the CJP Communal Security Initiative. His role includes supporting CJP affiliates by conducting training, helping institutions apply for federal and state security grants, managing the CJP Communal Security Initiatives website, working with law enforcement, and providing ongoing consultation and advice to the Jewish organizations that CJP serves.
