Introduction to Security Concepts and Malicious Intruder/Active Assailant Training
Creating a balance between an open and welcoming environment while maintaining safety and security is a challenge faced by many Jewish institutions.
The first hour of this program focuses on an overview of threats and offers a review of local security incidents. Participants are exposed to physical and procedural security concepts and learn about the key role individuals can play to improve — or degrade — security at their institution.
JEMS partners with local law enforcement to deliver tailored Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate (A.L.I.C.E) or Run, Hide, Fight training. The second part of this program provides options-based training so that individuals can more effectively respond to the threat of a malicious intruder or active assailant.
The session includes both lecture and hands-on activities and drills.
