In the early hours of June 28, a vandal shattered one of the New England Holocaust Memorial’s iconic glass panels, causing both physical damage as well as great pain to our local community. On Tuesday, July 11, state and local officials, clergy members, and local organizations will join us for a rededication event as we restore the Memorial.
Governor Charlie Baker, Boston Mayor Martin Walsh, CJP President Barry Shrage, JCRC Executive Director Jeremy Burton, Holocaust survivors, and others will offer remarks as a new glass panel is unveiled. Together, they will echo the sentiments expressed by so many last week: our community is strong, we stand together to help each other, and we reject hatred.
The public is welcome to attend the rededication. Please note that given the surrounding area, space and sight lines may be limited.
