Shine a Light on Antisemitism: Community Menorah Lighting

6:15PM - 7:00PM

New England Holocaust Memorial Carmen Park
Congress Street
Boston,

Please join CJP and the Jewish Community Relations Council for Shine a Light on Antisemitism, a community-wide menorah lighting taking place on Monday, November 29, at 6:15 p.m. ET at the New England Holocaust Memorial. This event is part of a multi-city initiative and together, we will raise the profile of this critical issue.

We will gather together on the second night of Hanukkah with our community and interfaith partners, civic leaders, and elected officials to publicly reaffirm our commitment to teaching about the consequences of hate and unchecked bigotry. The event will also be streamed live.

Featured speakers (in formation) will include: Rabbi Marc Baker, CJP President and CEO; Jeremy Burton, JCRC Executive Director; Michelle Wu, Mayor of Boston; Reverend Laura E. Everett, Executive Director, MA Council of Churches; Reverend Carrington Moore, Director of Community Organizing for King Boston; Representative Jeff Roy; Senator Michael J. Rodrigues; and Rabbi Elaine Zecher of Temple Israel Boston.

The event will also feature a special performance from the Gann Academy ShenaniGanns, a student-led a capella group.

Co-sponsors include: ADL, AJC, IAC, American Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Descendants of Greater Boston, and the Consulate General of Israel to New England.
