Virtual sessions kick off on Monday, November 23 at 7:00 p.m. ET
Challenging times call for a more creative approach! While we can’t be in each other’s living rooms, we can be together virtually from the comfort of our own homes. Join CJP and Young Adult Philanthropy for Together at Home, an online, monthly series for young adults.
Each month, we’ll bring you interactive opportunities to meet like-minded peers, build relationships, and learn about CJP’s mission and impact. Come as you are and make yourself at home! Together, we’ll discover joy in difficult times and create new connections.
Whether this is your first experience with CJP or you’re joining us again, this virtual series will bring fun into your life and remind us of the importance of our collective Jewish community.
Pre-registration is required. Sign up by midnight on Wednesday, November 18.
COST: $18 per person for the three sessions below
Event fees reflect the cost of goods and services provided and are not tax deductible.
Join us for three sessions this November to January — all starting at 7:00 p.m. ET (Zoom links will be provided prior to each session). We'd love to see you at all three sessions, but don't worry if you need to miss one.
- Monday, November 23 — Get to know each other and CJP with Skip the Small Talk, an organization which helps strangers get closer, faster, using methods grounded in psychological research. This session with Skip the Small Talk Founder and Director Ashley Kirsner will help you feel more socially connected in your everyday life and provide you with a better understanding of what CJP does, who we help, and how we serve our Jewish community.
- Tuesday, December 15 — Latkes and Learning with Jeffrey Yoskowitz and Leket Israel
Join us from your kitchen for a live latke-making demo with Jeffrey Yoskowitz, Brooklyn-based food entrepreneur and co-founder of The Gefilteria, and learn how CJP cares for the vulnerable in our local community and around the world. You’ll also hear from Leket Israel, the largest food rescue organization in Israel, on how they’ve innovated during the pandemic.
- Thursday, January 14 — Find meaning through Jewish ritual and beyond with Casper ter Kuile, author of The Power of Ritual: Turning Everyday Activities into Soulful Practices. He will help us reflect, find resilience in ritual, and set intentions for 2021. Bonus: Each participant will be mailed a copy of Casper’s Ritual Life Plannerprior to this session!
