Description: formation and maintenance of a 14-member organization Coalition Against Trafficking and Prostitution

Yozmot Atid – 1st year
Project: Taking the Leap: Building Women’s Business Entrepreneurship and Economic Resilience
Description: training model and comprehensive program designed to build the capacity, increase the sense of capability and empowerment, and provide the necessary skills and support network for diverse women in financial distress.

Yachad New England / National Jewish Council for Disabilities – 3rd year
Project: Y.E.S. Your Expressive Self
Description: art education and art therapy project for Jewish teens and young adult women with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism

Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action, Inc. (JALSA) – 2nd year
Project: Protecting Abortion Access
Description: mobilize and educate the Massachusetts Jewish community to defend access to abortion

Jewish Family Service of Metrowest – 2nd year
Project: Jewish Elderly Women Homeless Prevention - Home Share Model Pilot
Description: assist in securing emergency housing for Jewish women facing eviction and homelessness, and participate in area-wide strategic planning for long-term solutions to this critical housing shortage

Hadassah-Brandeis Institute – 1st year 

Project: Boston Agunah Task Force

Description: research, education, and advocacy for women under Jewish family law to prevent Get abuse 

 

The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture – 1st year 

Project: The Only Woman in the Room: An Arts & Cultural Series about Extraordinary Jewish Women
Description: a series of three events and one art exhibit highlighting Jewish women who have achieved extraordinary success in professional fields 

 

 

Secular Grantees

Roca, Inc. – 3rd year
Project: Young Mothers’ Program
Description: support for the highest-risk young mothers while supporting and promoting the school readiness of their young children

RESPOND, Inc. – 3rd year
Project: Survivors of Abuse Feeling Empowered for Re-entry (SAFER)
Description: the first domestic violence program for women in a Massachusetts jail or prison

The Women’s Bar Foundation of Massachusetts – 2nd year
Project: Family Law Project for Domestic Abuse Survivors
Description: provide free legal assistance to low-income survivors of domestic abuse, so they can break the cycle of abuse and poverty

Women’s Lunch Place – 2nd year
Project: Legal Services Project
Description: help fund a full-time lawyer to assist women experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty with legal issues that constitute barriers to their improved health, stability, and self-sufficiency

Jeremiah Program  – 1st year
Project: Expanding our Impact for Single Mother College Students in Boston
Description: a whole family approach for single mothers to advance education and career goals while also supporting the growth and development of their childcare 

LEAP Self Defense, Inc. – 1st year
Project: General Operating Support
Description: empowering girls and gender-expansive youth ages 8–22 to become advocates for their well-being and safety, fostering a sense of belonging in all aspects of their lives 

Flying Cloud Institute – 1st year
Project: Young Women in Science
Description: provide dynamic and transformational STEM engagement and multigenerational mentorship for female and non-binary identifying youth ages 9–19
