How does my organization sign up?

Enrolling could not be easier. Simply contact our dedicated representative, Alan Osheroff. Alan will connect your account to the CJP buying group and help you customize wbmason.com, if needed.

Is there a cost to join the W.B. Mason group purchasing group?

There is no cost to enrolling in the program. Just sign up and start saving!

My organization is small, and we really do not use many office supplies. Is there still value for my organization?

Most people know W.B. Mason as an office supply vendor and that is their core product category, but W.B. Mason also offers furniture, foodservice supplies, janitorial and sanitation supplies, facilities maintenance, and custom and promotional items. To evaluate the impact of participating, your organization may want to look at the range of products beyond office supplies on wbmason.com.

Can I still buy from other suppliers if I enroll in the W.B. Mason program?

No. The CJP group purchasing relationship with W.B. Mason is nonexclusive, which means that program participants can shop wherever they like.

My organization already has a relationship with W.B. Mason and has customized our account. Will we lose that customization when we enroll in the program?

No. Your customization will continue unchanged. W.B. Mason will connect your existing account number to the CJP buying group. Once that connection is made, you will simply see the negotiated price on wbmason.com. Ordering is unchanged; you can order from wbmason.com or contact a W.B. Mason rep and order as usual.

I have a great relationship with my current W.B. Mason sales representative. Would I have to change representatives if our organization enrolls in the program?

No. Your existing rep will ensure that you are connected to the CJP group purchasing relationship and you can continue to work with that person the same way you have in the past.

How was the list of 550 “most frequently purchased items” determined?

In the summer of 2020, CJP assembled 10 partners organizations into a pilot committee to collectively explore opportunities for collaboration and group purchasing. The most frequently purchased items list was generated by aggregating the historical office supply purchasing activity. The pricing for these 550 items is fixed for 12 months. A small number of items tied to global supply and demand dynamics, such as coffee and paper, are excluded from the price fixing.

There are certain items my organization buys routinely that are not on the core items list. Will changes be made to this list?

The list will be refreshed in April of each year based on the purchasing activity of participating CJP organizations. Please contact Ana Volpi if there are specific items you would like to have considered for inclusion in the next iteration of the list.

How can I see the list of 550 items on the core list?

When you are enrolled in the CJP group purchasing program, a new option will appear under your “Favorites” menu once you log in to wbmason.com. When you click on the link, you will see the entire list of 550 items.

What is required to receive the CJP pricing for items?

Once enrolled, no further action is needed. The pricing you will see from now on will include the CJP discounts.

What if I need to purchase something that is not on the list of 550 most frequently purchased items? How are those products priced in the program?

For everything else, CJP partners enrolled in the program will save 6% off the regular wbmason.com pricing.

Does W.B. Mason match pricing on identical products?

Yes. W.B. Mason guarantees that it will meet or beat competitor pricing if the competitor’s price quote is no older than 30 days.

Are there any rebates that are part of the CJP group purchasing relationship?

Yes. At the end of the calendar year, based on the total amount of money your organization spent with W.B. Mason, you will receive a rebate ranging from 3% to 6.5% in the form of credit to your account.

My organization has a streamlined accounts payable process. Are there any benefits related to speed of payment?

Yes. Standard terms are net 45, meaning your organization has 45 days to pay the invoice. Organizations that pay within 15 days (net 15) will receive a 2% discount to that invoice.

Are there any other ways to save?

W.B. Mason values the relationship with CJP and CJP partners and is committed to working with us over the long term. As a sign of that commitment, W.B. Mason is offering a guaranteed savings of 10% on any new janitorial/sanitation supply business. To receive the 10% discount, all your organization needs to do is to provide two months of janitorial/sanitation supplies invoices and host a W.B. Mason visit to your location. We already have a janitorial or custodial service provider. Is there a way to pass that savings along to the service provider?

Yes. W.B. Mason will allow you to pass the janitorial/sanitation supplies discount to your cleaning service provider. Alan Osheroff, our dedicated representative, can tell you more.

Customization
 

Multiple people in my organization need to be able to order from W.B. Mason, but all orders need to be approved. Does wbmason.com provide this functionality?

Yes. The W.B. Mason website offers the ability to set up your organization’s account to allow colleagues to select items that are then routed to a designated purchasing approver who can then approve or reject the items for order. If you have already set up this capability in your wbmason.com account, you will not need to make any changes.

My organization has certain requirements for invoices and billing. Can W.B. Mason customize invoicing?

Yes. Invoices can be customized during the onboarding phase with Alan Osheroff.
