The Jewish values of chesed (compassion) and tzedek (justice) drive our efforts to care for those facing poverty, injustice, and isolation. CJP uses a holistic approach and addresses these issues from a Jewish perspective.

CJP’s Anti-Poverty Initiative leads a comprehensive effort across multiple social service agency partners to help individuals and families in our community move from crisis to stability. It has had a profound impact on our community by increasing access to critical services and providing pathways to economic self-sufficiency.

CJP’s deep commitment to our values also empowers us to offer support beyond our Jewish community in times of need. The CJP Legal Aid Fund for Immigrants, in partnership with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston, increased direct, urgently needed legal assistance to immigrants who face an uncertain future.

Together, we are building a more just and caring world.

“There may be no more important point in our lifetime to stand up for those at risk than right now. CJP plays an essential role helping the most vulnerable members of our community get on the path to self-sufficiency and we are proud to be a part of this important work.”
