Camp is so much more than just an incredible summer. Studies show that children who attend Jewish overnight camp have higher rates of synagogue affiliation, and a stronger connection to Jewish life and Israel. Plus, kids discover all the magic of sleepaway camp — from building friendships, to learning new skills, to going on new adventures — and make memories that will last a lifetime.
There are many great camps to choose from including our participating partners. Find a camp today.

Start a tradition of summer fun! Discover all that Jewish camp has to offer — from sports and arts, to music and science — and how to afford summers your kids will never forget. CJP is proud to be in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp.
With the One Happy Camper grant, your family could qualify for up to $1,000 off tuition for your camper’s first summer at camp!
To qualify for the One Happy Camper grant, your child must:
Camp session duration | Grant amount for first-time camper | Grant amount for sibling(s) |
---|---|---|
12–18 consecutive days | up to $700 | $500 |
19+ consecutive days | up to $1,000 | $500 |
If your camper is attending Camp Micah or Camp Kingswood for the first time, your family may be eligible for a first-time camper incentive grant from CJP. To learn more and apply, please contact your camp directly or email campership@cjp.org.
Please apply by Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Grants are approved on a rolling basis subject to funding availability.
*Campers who attended a session of fewer than 12 days last summer and are attending camp for 12 days or more this summer can apply for a $700 or $1,000 grant. Campers who attended camp for 12 days or more last summer will not be eligible for a grant this summer. Siblings of campers who previously received a first-time camper grant (from FJC or CJP) or are receiving a first-time camper grant this year are eligible to receive $500 when they attend camp for the first time for at least 12 consecutive days.
We know camp is impactful and fun for kids. We also know that camping scholarships can relieve the financial pressure for grown-ups.
Affordability Scholarships for partner camps
CJP provides affordability funding directly to each of our 14 partner camps (listed above) to support families living within CJP’s catchment area. If your child is attending one of these 14 partner camps, please contact the camp directly to learn more about the financial aid options available for your family.
Affordability Scholarships for other Jewish camps
If your child is attending a Jewish overnight camp in the United States that is not one of CJP’s partner camps, you may be eligible for a camping scholarship of $1,500 per camper, with a cap of $6,000 per family, subject to funding availability. To apply, please click on the link below to complete the application. Please complete the application form by Friday, March 14, 2025. Award decisions will be communicated by Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
Campers are eligible if they are:
1. Registered at a Jewish overnight camp in the United States for a minimum duration of 12 days
2. Living in CJP's catchment area (Please note that families residing in Merrimack Valley are also eligible to apply)
3. In a household with the Household Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), as reported on the 2024 IRS Income Tax Return Form, not exceeding $250,000
If you have any questions, contact us at campership@cjp.org.
CJP relies on the community’s generosity to make our grant-making possible. Thus, all grants are subject to CJP funding availability.
