Josh and Asya are Co-chairs of the Ben-Gurion Society (BGS), CJP's donor recognition group for young adults (ages 22–40) that give $1,000 or more to CJP's Annual Campaign. As chairs, Josh and Asya continue to play pivotal roles in strengthening and stewarding the BGS community. This year, they helped plan and execute two highly successful events that not only raised awareness but also fostered a sense of unity across our young adult community. The first event was an intimate gathering at Jessica Myers' home featuring Rabbi Mike Uram, Chief Jewish Learning Officer with JFNA. The topic was Generative Leadership: How to Lead During Divisive Times, and the conversation in the room was extremely timely and impactful. Folks shared challenges they're facing post October 7 in their relationships, careers, and communities. It was deeply meaningful for our young donors to contemplate the complexities of the times we're living in and for them to see CJP as a space where they can bring the whole of their identities. The second event featured Chef Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook and brought together BGS members and prospects for a night celebrating Jewish food, family, culture, and community. The juxtaposition of these events reflects the range in which young adults see CJP as a place for community and connection — in the hard moments and the joyous ones — and all of this was due to Josh and Asya's thoughtful partnership and collaboration. Whether it was handling logistics, curating meaningful content, or connecting with stakeholders at the events, they approached each task with enthusiasm, creativity, and professionalism. Their ability to think both strategically and tactically helped elevate the quality of these events and grow the BGS community.
