Lisa Edelstein is a renowned actress, writer, director, and producer who embraces courageous roles. She began her career writing and producing one of the first AIDS awareness musicals, “Positive Me;” she also played TV’s first out lesbian character (“Relativity,” ABC), a transwoman (“Ally McBeal,” FOX), and a sex worker (“West Wing,” NBC).
Lisa reached a world-wide audience during her seven seasons co-starring on the hit FOX medical drama “House.” She then starred in “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” for five seasons. She also directed and starred in an adaptation of Etgar Keret’s short story, “Unzipping,” which is now playing in festivals around the world.
Today, Lisa can be seen in the Golden Globe-winning Netflix series “The Kominsky Method.” She is a proud supporter of the Anti-Defamation League, The Center for Reproductive Rights, Physicians for Reproductive Rights, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Planned Parenthood, and many other causes.
