Rabbi Jennifer Gubitz

Rabbi Jennifer Gubitz is the Director of the Riverway Project, Temple Israel of Boston's 20s/30s outreach program. A product of the Reform movement's summer camping system, she is a graduate of Indiana University's Borns Jewish Studies program. She was ordained in 2012 by Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (NY) where she was a Tisch Rabbinical Fellow. As a student, she trained in chaplaincy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and wrote her thesis on Jewish death education for children. Rabbi Gubitz writes about Jewish wisdom's capacity to respond to our human condition with work appearing in The Forward, EJewishPhilanthropy, OnBeing, The Mussar Torah Commentary, The Sacred Exchange: Creating a Jewish Money Ethic, and forthcoming in Lilith Magazine. Recently married, Jen lives with her husband, Matan, and their dog, Joey, in Jamaica Plain.
