Dena Boronkay Rashes: Circle of Excellence Leadership Award

Dena is a passionate volunteer whose extraordinary generosity and steadfast commitment to the local and global Jewish community inspire all who work with her. She approaches every project with seasoned perspective, creativity, and a willingness to think big and innovate, all in service of ensuring CJP continues to grow from strength to strength, especially during times of transition for the organization. Over the years, Dena has held —and redefined — many leadership roles within CJP, including Chair of our Committee on Development, Co-chair of our Annual Campaign, and member of our Board of Directors. Now, as Co-chair of our Cynthia & Leon Shulman Acharai Leadership Program, she’s drawing on her extensive experience to help shape and inspire CJP’s next generation of leaders. Beyond Boston, Dena represents our community on the national stage through her deep involvement with The Jewish Federations of North America and JDC. As a leader, Dena truly brings joy and a hopeful spirit to the work. Even in challenging moments — like during her time on CJP’s Israel Emergency Task Force after the October 7 attacks — she always reminds us of the power of Jewish community and all we can achieve together.
