Being around Izhar is both energizing and elevating. He brings the discipline, urgency, and strategic rigor of a seasoned venture capitalist to all his work with CJP. As a member of our Israel Emergency Fund Task Force, Izhar — an Israeli American who grew up on a kibbutz in northern Israel — went above and beyond in sharing expertise, educating fellow volunteers and staff on the dynamics in Israel, and helping CJP shape its approach to the crisis response. As our work has evolved, he’s become a key thought partner in our reimagined Israel grant making. Izhar, who also serves on CJP’s Board of Directors, is a highly collaborative leader who raises the level of conversation and decision-making. He’s extremely committed to CJP, to the Jewish People, and to ensuring that our investments — particularly in Israel — are thoughtful, effective, and sustainable.
