Lauren Gendzier: Circle of Excellence Young Leadership Award

An extraordinary CJP ambassador, leader, and community builder, Lauren is dedicated to connecting young adults to Jewish opportunities — and to one another. After participating in the Dewey Stone Kadimah Leadership Development Program, Lauren stepped up to co-chair programs to re-engage Jewish young adults with CJP after the Covid-19 pandemic. Inspired by what she learned through her involvement with the Young Adult Philanthropy Board, the Community Impact Grants Committee, and as Kadimah co-chair, Lauren has made it her mission to help her peers build community by connecting to CJP and other Jewish organizations. After returning from the Spark Israel trip in 2023, Lauren formed Jewish Social Women’s Group (JSWaG), a vibrant community of Jewish women who meet regularly. This year, Lauren has expanded her leadership beyond Boston into the National Young Leadership Cabinet of The Jewish Federations of North America. Thoughtful, trusted, and highly respected, Lauren always considers how experiences can be more impactful, and more accessible — particularly for young adults seeking Jewish community and stepping into Jewish leadership.
