Wonder Woman - Wendy Waldman

Five years ago, Wendy Waldman – a regular attendee of Women’s Philanthropy events – decided she was ready for more.

“I wanted to get involved in leadership, to find my place in Women’s Philanthropy, and to make deeper connections with other Jewish women,” she says.

A conversation with WP professional staff led her to our Leadership Development Series. From there, she jumped right in. With Women’s Philanthropy, Wendy traveled to Israel on the 2013 Mission, joined the Executive Board as a Vice President of Engagement, and is co-chairing a chapter of our forthcoming cookbook—and she also recently traveled on a CJP Mission to Cuba.

Last month, Wendy and Laurie Gliklich co-chaired our successful Hands-On Philanthropy event, during which more than 100 women came together to learn about and support Ethiopian-Israeli soldiers from Boston’s sister city of Haifa.

Moving forward, Wendy says she wants to deepen her involvement in WP and learn more about CJP’s work in overnight camping, engaging the next generation in Jewish life, and connection college students with Israel.

“It’s very rewarding,” she says of her time with WP. “I’ve met great people, connected with other women who are as passionate as I am about CJP, and I am helping others.”
