The Marketing and Communications Manager reports to the Director of Enrollment and Programming and has flexibility to be either a full or part time position. This person is responsible for implementing the school’s marketing strategies as well as overseeing and drafting all school communications.
Manage design and write content for two school magazines, released in the fall and spring, in collaboration with the Head of School and Director of Enrollment and Marketing.
Develop and compose public relations and press releases for local print publications and partner organizations .
Create and implement a social media calendar.
Manage and monitor EHS media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, and Pinterest) while implementing EHS communications and marketing strategy, curating content, and maintaining the EHS voice .
Monitor, track, and report on social media metrics.
Collaborate with EHS graphic design team to curate content for EHS throughout the school year (including school magazine, marketing ads, and development collateral).
Work with the Director of Enrollment and Programming and the Director of Community Engagement on paid media campaigns or with projects.
Work with the EHS Marketing and Communications Committee to collect and organize events and related marketing needs.
Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree and at least 2-4+ years similar experience in digital media and marketing.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Outstanding writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and engage readers of different constituencies including parents, alumni, donors, faculty/staff, Board of Directors, and community members .
Demonstrated success in project management.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail .
Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently and creatively to implement new ideas and initiatives.
Proficiency with communications software. (EHS is moving to the Veracross system beginning in July 2022).
