Mobilizing for Israel’s hour of greatest need

October 7, 2023, demanded an immediate response. CJP’s Israel Emergency Fund (IEF) launched within 24 hours. What we learned: When crisis hits, our community moves fast. We raised critical resources, deployed them strategically, and proved that urgency and careful stewardship aren’t mutually exclusive. And through it all, our ties to Israel grew even stronger.

A new chapter in our Israel relationship

The CJP Israel Emergency Fund did more than address immediate needs. The emergency taught us something valuable: direct partnerships with Israeli communities and leaders create better outcomes. We’re making that approach permanent, focusing our support strategically and growing relationships that will last.

Stories of your impact

“The speed with which innovation took root across Israeli society to support Israel’s recovery and healing has been nothing short of extraordinary. Communities that were shattered found ways to emerge — some stronger than before, and some who will need our enduring and ongoing support.”

Chairs, Israel Emergency Fund Task Force

From day one, CJP’s partnership allowed us to focus entirely on meeting the needs on the ground in the most strategic way. That is not taken for granted by us or our farmers. Our partnership has been a true gift, and I wish it could serve as a model of partnership for others.”

Danielle Abraham

Executive Director, ReGrow Israel

“I want everyone to understand that this funding support changed reality for people. This is more than budgets: This project allowed us to sit with communities, believe communities — and when we give them the trust, and give them the possibility to choose, they create amazing things. It’s very emotional.”
