CJP Report on Intermarried Families and Their Children

On March 9, 2008, CJP published a detailed study on the Jewish practices of Intermarried Families.  The study found that intermarried families with Jewish children are generally as observant as inmarried Jewish families, especially Reform families, and their children become B’nai Mitzvah (Bar or Bat Mitzvah) at the same rates.  (Click here to read more and to download a copy of the report)

April Campaign Superstar

Jesse Redlener has been selected as an April Superstar for his outstanding efforts as a campaigner who closed all of his cards with a 45 percent increase. He was a phone-a-thon chair for the Lawyers Group in 2007 and became the campaign chair for the Young Lawyers Group this year. He has excelled by creating strategies to solicit young lawyers in the community, taking initiative with campaign assignments, and recruiting attendees for events. He is an associate with Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston and he and his wife Kari are expecting their third child. Meet more campaign superstars

April Campaign Superstars

Penny Goodman, Karen Sisselman and Debbie Seresky have been selected as April Superstars because of their teamwork in putting together a fabulous Pomegranate event. With 250 attendees, it was one of Women’s Philanthropy's largest events ever. They worked tirelessly with committee members, encouraging them to recruit friends and securing items for the silent auction, which raised almost $8,000.
 
All three women currently serve on the Women’s Philanthropy (WP) Board and have supported the WP tutoring partnership at the Lucy Stone School. Meet more campaign superstars

Calling from Israel! CJP Telemarketing Campaign

Three times a year, CJP runs telemarketing campaigns.  While we recognize that very few people enjoy getting asked for money by a telemarketer – even if it’s for a good cause – it is a very important part of our fundraising efforts.
