CJP's Distinguished Service Award recognizes a former member of the CJP Board of Directors who made extraordinary contributions to the work of the Board during their terms of service. 

CJP is proud to give the first-ever Distinguished Service Award to Elizabeth Jick for her incredible partnership, her contributions to the community, and the lasting impact of her tenure on the Board and its Budget and Administration (B&A) Committee. As the Chair of B&A, Elizabeth led CJP through the COVID-19 pandemic with competence and confidence. Despite the challenges, Elizabeth was unflappable – her calm demeanor and expertise provided the Board with a sense of confidence as CJP pivoted overnight to operating in a new and chaotic environment. Her holistic understanding of CJP and connections to our partner organizations ensured that our community had the emergency and sustained support necessary to weather shutdowns, remote work, and a surge of constituent need. Elizabeth oversaw a time of significant change in the Finance Department, including a leadership transition and pandemic budgeting. Elizabeth’s leadership played a critical role in ensuring that CJP emerged from the pandemic in a strong financial position, able to continue to serve and inspire the Jewish community.
